Cronos Droid

Roland: ***½*

I tested it for one day... and I missed a few calls :D

Stable one, but not enough fast with my carrier :I (really stable)

from Feeyo:

Hi Guys,

My first Build Cronos Android Build based on the official Eris 2.1 release. Fully hacked and ported to the HTC Hero.

* This ROM is running on the fully 2.6.29 hero kernel. (believe it or not )
* Kernel compiled fully optimized for speed
* Apps2SD is built in
* Network Teaks
* Camera fully working
* Music fully working
* Videos fully working
* Droid Eris Optimized for Speed
* 3D gallery fully working
* Rooted
* Tested on Radios
** update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.26-signed
** update-hero-radio-63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26-signed

What works:
ehm... everything

Issues:
When booting up htcppts module breaks. (nothing wrong!)
You will probably will have to add the APN manually. Give the 3G module some time to establish a ACK from the provider.

Enjoy!

  1. 1. no md5, and no mirrors, rapidshare breaks downloads constantly
    2. the kernel is the same like in other roms, the blabla about it being any different is a lie (see xdev forums)
    3. gps and g-sensors are not working (from xdev feedback)

    so judge before you waste your time.

  2. hey pulp

    I read the xda forum too (as it is from there)
    I don't care what they say. It's not nice to lie or steal (I wrote it to the developer too), but I tested it, and it's a nice ROM : )

    GPS worked for me

    If you want to see the life, get in it! - not just listen to other people!

    have a good one! : )

  3. Hi Roland, I've downloaded all 3 released files from releaser.
    Only the OC rom is installable, other 2 are broken packages, even that MD5 shows they are fine.
    The "releaser" used nano to edit files, and left it in installer script, while file is missing, so if you use latest system recovery tools, they will fail to install it for u.
    Until a fixed version released, this is a waste of bandwidth.
