I proudly announce SenseHERO 2.1 B4! This build boasts a new navbar mimicking froyo's and includes overclocking capabilities. It is based upon the latest official 2.1 release for the HTC Hero CDMA which I have ported to our GSM devices.

Yes this rom is very good and it fixed the few glitches of the last Rom. This has to be the best Rom because it is 2.1, it's very stable, it's fast and it looks great. Good job Stickman
ReplyDeleteI,ll try it today.. comming from senseHero 1.6 (android 1.5) still havn't found a rom that fast enough like this one.. (2.1 roms are much slower than 1.5)

It says if you're comming from previus versions of sense hero wipe is not required but even sensehero 1.6? or only sensehero with android 2.1?

This has been been my first and only rom since I rooted and have no intentions of going to anohter rom or the offifial rom

@diewom are you sure about that? The update script fails and does not get to the end... What about the rest of the script?

What about support Hebrew fonts (a numbers issue), like in Villain 6.1.0? I'm really want to try your ROM, it's look very nice, but Hebrew fonts support it's only one thing that stop me.

ReplyDeleteEvery now and then the phone takes 20 seconds to wake up. Waking it up with the phone button just switches on backlight but blank black screen stays like that for a while.

i have a wifi problem, it looks like it dont support all wifi channels, cause i can see some channels but not all. Els i love the rom, looks great, runs great and even smells great on my Hero :D

latest update. This Rom is running greaT! the first startup is slow but after that 1st boot, its only <4mins to restart. Only thing is sometimes when it powers down to screensaver, and you restart it, there is a purplish hue. but pressing the button again is ok.

Great job, but SH 2.1 B4 has only English dictionary and keyboard language :( I must revert to earlier version of SH ROM :( Is there any chance to get other languages in this great ROM?
ReplyDeleteGreat as ever. Few glitches, I've also experienced the purple hue thing on start. Dark screen also has come with this update. These were absent in the last. My personal feeling is that reversion back to phone being central in nav bar is inevitable as after all this is a phone and rest is secondary despite the 2.2. So if these persist then going back to b3.
ReplyDeleteI've also experienced slow wakeup and purple hue!B4 has a tendency to reactivate A2DP in Bluetooth but its not a real problem for me since I did a radio update (doesn't freeze up in "play A2DP & recieve call" scenario, when connected to my Parrot carkit anymore..). Other than that this is the reason I love my Hero again. Thanx Stickman!

Hey Robert,first boot takes between 10-15mins. but you have hit new grounds at 20mins.. might need to take out the batt and try restarting again.

3G is fine for me but I am not sure my carrier is using HSDPA.. I can listen to internet radio.. is it your carrier?

Sms still splits. I don't think we will ever have a CDMA port with fixed sms issue.
ReplyDelete@Robert...I'm running HSDPA, 3G, EDGE, GPRS and the anything else that will keep my Hero online without any issues. Heard some complains online regarding limitations on WIFI channels but I havent experienced any problems with WIFI either!

ReplyDeleteYeah so far, I am still keeping this wonderful ROM :P I noticed some severe lagging playing videos (around 700mb vid) with the default video player but I downloaded Meridian and used that, and it is ok now. Will we get Apps2SD soon? :P
ReplyDeleteWhen first installed the SenseHero screen stood there for 40 min. Wiped the phone, reinstalled SenseHero but now i get alot of "applications forced closed" when the phones boots. Why?

ReplyDeleteI had a problem with not being able to change MMS settings, it seemed liked everything regarding APN on MMS was locked.
Fantastic roms, never had any better. It keeps getting better though.... Can't wait for the b5 based on the GSM port. Sure I will donate some. Where?

I know that when you do that it will be better and beautiful. just hoping that its done soon as the startup glitches are getting to me. You know the dark screen and purple hue thing.
