This is the new VanillaEclair 3.3. Please remember that this is a release candidate, and might not be 100% stable. As usual, NANDROID IS YOUR FRIEND.
Thanks behnaam for the 2.6.29 kernel sources and Cyanogen for his 5.0.7 final

Note: Discussions about RC2 start from page 24.
RC1 to RC2 changelog:
- A2DP should work properly with newer headsets -> please confirm
- sound is now louder
- WiFi sleeps properly
- GPS fixed, allthough this would need further testing
- improved overall system speed(new kernel) - you will feel it
- kernel to work @ 691/160 or @576/245 - download the one you want
- included modules: tun, cifs, loop, cryptoloop, wlan -> ramzswap is attached
- optimized boot speed
- you can now connect via wifi to AdHoc networks
What's new:
- fixed battery drain - actually now the battery life is excellent
- improved kernel
- button lights
- no more graphical glitches
- improved overall performance and stability
What has been done to the kernel:
- pre-OC @691MHz on / 176MHz off -> you can still use OverclockingWidget/SetCPU to set your own desired frequencies, but I suggest you use it as it is.
- enhanced scheduler
- better usage of CPU resources
- battery life tweaks
- EXT2/3 are supported; my suggestion would be to use EXT2
- enabled button lights
- other minor enhancements to improve overall system performance and stability
What works:
- GPS, A-GPS
- camera
- calls
- bluetooth file transfer - tested with another phone and my BT printer
- trackball
- Facebook sync
- google sync, mail, everything related to google
- 2G/3G
- busybox, su
- A2SD - go to settings / applications and check A2SD option
- Dalvik-Cache moved to SD
- WiFi
- accelerometer(10x heyodee)
- youtube HD from froyo
...the list is pretty long, so I'll skip to the part I really hate writing
What doesn't work:
- auto brightness(as in other AOSP ROMs) -> I will fix it soon
- A2DP - now that I have a BT headset(thanks again Mark!) I can work on it BUT it might work with newer headsets
Included soft(among the usual ones):
- 2D Gallery
- Spare Parts
- google stuff(maps too)
- Cyanogen's launcher, as it is better than the buggy vanilla one
- terminal emulator
Notes:
1. PLEASE PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP
2. PLEASE WIPE EVERYTHING
3. At the first boot, you will be asked which of the following you would like to start: com.android.provision.DefaultActivity or Setup Wizard. Choose setup wizard. After you have finnished setting it up, the setup will run again. Just press home and reboot. Everything will be fine afterwards.
If you have any issues, please post your logcat too. Pastebin links prefered.
