Vanillain. It’s a Vanilla Android 2.1 build, derived from CyanogenMod sources. It's a re-build of the legend that is jnwhiteh's AOSP build. All credit should go to whiteh & cyanogen for this release. It’s quick, and there’s plenty of free memory at all times.

Important note: For anyone following VillainROM… I HAVE NOT stopped work on that rom. I needed a break, as my mind was becoming foggy with it. I took a break to work on an AOSP Vanilla build for my own personal use, so I’m sharing it with you. Work will continue on VILLAIN today!




I’ve modified the launcher, and will continue to do so bit by bit, so expect future updates which are GRAPHICAL only. They will be optional in the most part, but should really help the overall look of the build.

So, to the ROM:

First of all, the battery should be decent with this rom. I've modified some settings (such as scan intervals, etc) which should help the battery life. Please feed back on this.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Run a Nandroid backup
2. FULL WIPE
3. Flash Vanillain1.0
4. Flash GoogleStuff.zip


IMPORTANT - IF YOU HAVE ANY ROOT ISSUES: DO THE FOLLOWING:

Open Wifi Tether... click CLOSE on the Donate box. Then, when prompted, click OVERRIDE. There... SU fixed.


RECOMMENDATION:
Install Overclock Widget from the market. Set it to 528k/528k with screen on, and 19200-128k with screen off.
