the SenseHERO server crushed somehow (I can imagine; the downloads),
so the master (Stickman) repacked it with the things, people asked for in the first few hours (he is excellent), and we have it here:

Hmmm I think this is ported from CDMA leak? Is there a SMS Split issue like any other CDMA-based 2.1? Long SMS were split of in 2 or more?
ReplyDeleteOk tested this and I can confirm SMS-split issue. When message is longer than 160 it's splitted...so this is too huge issue for me.

for some reason I wasn't able to download the whole .zip file, not in Firefox, not in Chrome. I had to download the file via Feedownloadmanager... So I installed the update (yes, I was running previously on your 2.1), after a long first boot I wasn't able to unlock screen to enter my PIN and the phone just froze. then I was able to unlock screen but there is nothing on my screen only the SENSE HERO logo, no PIN enter, nothing... :-( what's wrong? update was finished without errors, system is booting... but... I'll try it once again, making complete wipe, installing your 2.1 first and then apply the update. I'll come back to you with the result.
ReplyDeleteOK, with my T-Mobile slovkaia SIM I was able to get to the main screen (there is no PIN code enabled) but the phone wasn't able to find my home network (of course, I'm in a excellent reception area), so I tried again with my Orange slovakia SIM but I'm stuck again at the lock screen, phone is just freezing, I cannot unlock the screen, cannot enter my PIN... so I'm gonna do the whole ROM flashing again but if it won't work (for me), I'll have to use your original 2.1 version, without the nice update... :-(

ReplyDeleteI used SH 1.6, than I restored 2.1 with nand, and flashed the SH 2.1 v2 update. I lost a few widgets. So I wiped the device, and flashed the 2.1 two times, and than flashed the v2 update. On the first boot it freezed for me too. But after removing battery ans restarting I got the best 2.1 : )

thankx for the advice Roland! I tried several times, I'm not counting anymore... :-( without a SIM card it's working, I'm coming to the main screen, I can to what ever I want to do... when I'm starting up with my t-mobile SIM (without SIM lock), then it's OK, BUT the phone doesn't find any network!!! and it should find at least: O2, Orange and T-Mobile... but nothing (I started a manual network search). so, I don't know what, but something is wrong with me... :-( when I start up my phone with the Orange SIM (where SIM lock activated), phone is just freezing, no matter how oft I start up. I just cannot get to the PIN enter screen, I cannot unlock the screen... :-(
